¬Dieting and Healthy Weight Loss Made Easy

In this technologically advanced world we’re living in, people tend to want to get everything fast and easy. However, when it comes to healthy weight loss, you may want to reconsider. There are so many fad diets and slimming medications out in the market today that guarantee quick and effortless results. Some may work, some may not, but the real question is, will the outcome be long lasting? You don’t want to go through something that just backfires in the long run and leaves you back where you started, right? So before starting with anything in particular, you have to make sure that it’s the right one for your body. Or, you can opt for the tried and tested choice, exercise and balanced eating.

There are a lot of reasons why it’s better to stick with the traditional way of losing weight. One would be the fact that a lot of diet plans are very restrictive and only allow certain types of food like special shakes or ready-made meals designed for their programs. Some even prohibit eating a whole food group, like sugars, fats and carbohydrates. Thus, what you eat really becomes limited. And although this could be effective in the short run, sooner or later, you will miss consuming foods that are excluded from your program. This is especially true when you go to social events like weddings, birthdays or other parties. What happens when what they serve is not on your dietary menu? Plus, it’s really unhealthy to eliminate a whole food group (when it’s not junk food) from your system because doing so rids you of the supplements and vitamins that these foods bring.

Another reason would be that these diets are more costly than healthy weight loss. Exercising and eating right is definitely more affordable than diet medications like pills and tablets or any form of slimming procedure like liposuction or laser surgery. Special meals prepared for limited eating are also obviously more expensive. Moreover, going for fasting or starvation diets is another no-no because doing so just slows down a person’s metabolism. So instead of losing weight more rapidly, you don’t get to see the results you want.

You must also keep in mind that commercial weight loss products don’t work on everyone. Yes, the person on the ad may have lost 45 pounds in the span of three months, but that doesn’t mean you would too. Advertisements aren’t always accurate and most often than not, they’re just made to ensure getting back a huge cash flow.

So instead of wasting your time on any of the above, just keep in mind a few simple facts. One, don’t eat more calories than you can burn because the weight you gain comes from the calories you don’t use up. Two, balance the food you eat and indulge once in a while so you don’t feel deprived. And three, exercise or do something physical that you enjoy, this helps a lot in keeping you in shape. Remember all these and you will be on your way to a healthy weight loss plan that will last a long while.

Any advice on fast and easy weight loss?
I can buy healthy food i just need to know how NOT to give in to all those yummy junk foods. Do you guys have any idea on how to avoid them? i love them i just quit eating one day and i wasnt hungry for 8 days so i ate nothing and my stomach went pretty flat which made me happy but then my parents commented on me not eating and forced me to eat a platefull of food every meal. I love fruits and vegetables! Brussel sprouts, asparagus, broccoli, all those gross veggies are amazing to me. i eat those and feel great. i feel average when i eat fatty foods. I just cant seem to avoid them when my family goes out to eat and stuff. I go to the gym 3 times a week and work cardio but idk how long it will take for me to lose a little bit of weight and get a flat stomach. any info on how long it should take? i work out atleast an hour and a half or 2 hours so i need to know if i can get a flat tummy by 3 months.

  1. WPMixer says:

Which oil to use for frying? and for salad dressing? I saw some video which says that EVO oil has pulyunsaturated fats which become “bad” when heated to high temperature. I am Gujarati vegetarian and relish Dhoklas dipped in uncooked spiced oil. My “oil for salad” question is really for that. I really do not eat any salad. The “oil for frying” question is for Papadum. I prefer my papadums fried. Occassionaly I fry potato fries. But plz go ahead and answer Q’s for general situation.
