There are many different types of Georgia health insurance options. The three biggest companies that most people choose from are Blue Cross & Blue Shield, HumanaOne and AARP. Blue Cross and Blue Shield is one of the bigger Georgia health insurance companies. They offer many health insurance options. Whether you are looking for Georgia health insurance as an individual or as a big company, they can provide service. They have plans for families as well. They are eager to do business with people and will try hard to provide you with an agent or a broker to work with. They will also eagerly help you to find a provider. Since they are one of the bigger and more accepted types of health insurance in the country, it makes sense that they would be so well established in Georgia.
HumanaOne is another large health insurance company in Georgia. They offer three main plans to those seeking insurance. The first is the “Portrait” plan. It offers the most amount of coverage and is comparable to something a large corporation could have. It covers 100% of doctor visits as well as having a concierge service. The next plan down is the “Autograph” plan. It offers an array of plans with varying amounts of coverage. One is still very covered though it just offers the chance to personalize his or her plan more. The last is the “Monogram” plan. This is the lowest priced plan. It does still provide coverage for doctor visits as well as preventative care benefits. This plan is aimed at healthy young people who most likely do not pay much for health care already. When shopping for Georgia health insurance you may want many options and although at surface level there would appear to only be three, there are in fact more.
Both Blue Cross and Blue Shield and HumanaOne target Georgia health insurance as their main market in Georgia. Another large provider of Georgia health insurance is AARP although they offer many types of insurance. Along with health insurance, AARP also offers automobile insurance, home insurance and life insurance. AARP even has travel and international insurance. Also unlike the other two companies mentioned previously, AARP’s focus is much wider. As a company it would seem to be more concerned with current events and publishing rather than more local issues of health care. There are certain benefits though of having one’s health care with such a large company.
